US Spot Crude: Premiums Soar In Moderate Trading

LOS ANGELES (Dow Jones)--Premiums for March delivery of Gulf Coast crude soared on Thursday in moderate trading as front-month March Nymex crude declined $1.25 a barrel to $96.36 and April fell a like amount to $96.74.

Thunderhorse crude premium rose $2.25 a barrel to find a deal at $15.50 over West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery.

Mars crude rose $1.95 with deals done at $12.30 and $12.35.

March Alaska North Slope crude continued to be assessed at a premium of $13.15 over Nymex crude for West Coast delivery, with seven cargo deals done last week.
