From CERAWEEK in Houston: Texas is on pace to issue the most drilling permits this year than in any year since 1985, a state oil and gas regulator said Thursday.

This will keep the market guessing on production. Hmm did CHK acTuaLy cut any production or are they like OPEC cheaters ?

No, didn't mention it. But I assume majority of those permits are oil and liquids focused.

BHI shows natgas rigs down 21 to 670.

Any guesses for today? I'm thinking BH says gas rigs dropped by 16 today. It's a free fall for gas rigs.
