Frontier Expects Lower Feb Output At Kansas, Wyoming Plants

Feb 08, 2010

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Frontier Oil Corp. (FTO) will be processing less crude oil at its refineries in El Dorado, Kansas, and Cheyenne, Wyo., in February due to spring maintenance, according to a report Monday.

Planned work will be taking place at "several units, primarily catalyst regeneration at a reformer at each refinery," Frontier's monthly report stated. Daily production at El Dorado is expected to be 0.6% lower, or 700 barrels, during the month at 120,300 barrels a day while Cheyenne's rates are expected to decline 12%, or 4,800 barrels, to 35,000 barrels a day.

El Dorado's total processing capacity is 135,000 barrels a day and Cheyenne's nameplate capacity is 52,000 barrels a day.
